Wheel of Emotions

Dr. Robert Plutchik an American psychologist initially proposed that there are eight primary emotions that serve as the foundation for all others: joy, sadness, acceptance, disgust, fear, anger, surprise, and anticipation. (Pollack, 2016)

The wheel below represents a Wheel of Emotion with 6 inner level emotions, 36 second level emotions, and 72 third level detailed emotions.

How to use: Start with the inner portion of the wheel, move out to the next level and then drill in on the detailed emotion. Then reflect on that emotion. You can have a combination of detailed emotions. Then combine this with Identifying my Triggers pg. 27-29 and/or The ABC's pg. 52.
