Bill Hi, the name I actually go by is Bill.  As you can see, one of my passions in life is sailing and in particular long-distance racing.  I am currently doing my Masters in Counselling Psychology.  I am certified by SMART Recovery to provide Addiction counselling and meeting facilitation.  I host several online meetings which you can find on my links page and I am available for 1 on 1 consultation.  For my counselling sessions I use a sliding scale.

Here are my areas of interest:

On my site I provide a number of tools, some come from SMART Recovery and others are ones that I have developed based on leading concepts in the field of addictions.  All are based on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT)

CBT - CBT is a practical, short-term form of psychotherapy that helps people identify and change their thoughts, attitudes, and beliefs that effects their emotions and behaviours.

DBT - DBT teaches skills to accept and change emotions, behaviours, and relationships.

REBT -  REBT is a type of CBT developed to help people using an action-oriented approach that's focussed on helping people deal with irrational beliefs and help people learn how to deal with their emotions, thoughts, and beliefs in a healthier more realistic way.
